Bold Moves Online Groups for Young Adults, Adults, and Healers with Anxiety

The Bold Moves Group is a great fit for you if you are tired of fear winning and getting the better of you and want interactive support and guidance – you know you need more than just a book, or individual session – you need community and ongoing support. You’re open to something new and willing to put in the effort needed to make things better.

Nobody chooses anxiety. And there is no healthy way to “turn off” anxious thoughts and feelings like a light switch. But you can learn to break free from the shackles of anxiety and fear – and take back your life. The purpose of this group is to help you create a life that inspires you.

The Bold Moves group offers a new approach to your anxiety, fears, and your life. Through participation in this 8-week online psychoeducational group, you’ll find a powerful and tested set of tools and strategies to help you gain freedom from fear, trauma, worry, and all the many manifestations of anxiety and fear.

Based on a revolutionary approach to psychological health and wellness called acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and mindfulness, and best practices from concious relationships, this group process will help you create the conditions for your own genuine happiness and peace of mind.

Your life is calling on you to make that choice, and the skills in this group can help you make it happen if you choose to participate fully. This group will provide accessible, well-researched exercises and practices, as well as accountability, to free you to live from your full aliveness, heart, and potential.  The commitment involves a weekly 2 hour zoom group, daily mindfulness practice (at your own pace), and light reading/journaling. You will also gain access to ongoing text support from peers and your facilitator.

There are three groups offered, one general group for adults 26 and older, another for young adults 18-25 and lastly a group for healers.  Healers in all professionals, mental health, healthcare, coaching, church leadership, etc are being asked to lead during a time full of uncertainty. The Bold Moves group for Healers will provide you with a safe place to tend to your own needs, and equip you in strengthening your own inner GPS system so you can continue to engage wholeheartedly.  If timing is difficult for a specialty group, all participants are welcome to join the general group.

The first step involves setting up a free discovery call with your facilitator to determine if this is a good fit for you.  While group work on zoom may feel daunting, just know that you are not the only one feeling this way! Why not use this safe, structured community to not only heal, but also gain confidence in engaging in this new way? She will explore with you your goals and any specific needs or requests that you have prior to starting.  You will also have the opportunity to meet with your facilitator again 1-on-1 as part of your program for 30 minutes within the first two weeks to check in on your progress.  We will make sure you have easy access to the support you need as you take on your anxiety in a whole new way.

Transform your relationship with pain and suffering and make 2021 a powerful year, call today to set up your free discovery call with Dr. Estrella (in the video below)!

Bold Moves Group for Teens: Process Group for Anxiety

Similar to the adult Bold Moves Group above, this group offers teens a practical, highly interactive, and flexible 8-session group using ACT Therapy and Mindful practices.

Teens have their own unique challenges, including difficulty fitting in at school and home, tough academics, figuring out their future, and who they really are in the world. Especially now with remote learning!

This is great for teens that are having a tough time engaging with peers or at school, for example, and yet they want help. This group will provide them with accessible, well-researched exercises and practices, as well as accountability and guidance, to step back into their life in an intentional way.

The first step involves setting up a free discovery call with your facilitator to determine if this is a good fit for you, at which point she will advise of the next group start date. It is typically held on zoom, 2 hours weekly, for 8 weeks.

Passion Alive Group: Couples group designed to enhance intimacy

You’re so tired of the turn your relationship has taken. Once full of fun and friendship, it’s now just monotony, repetitive fights, and a lack of connection. Even your sex life is suffering – awkward, infrequent, at times shameful.

You still care deeply for your partner, but you miss feeling like a team. This can’t be all there is! Is this really as good as it’s going to get? You desperately need help to spark and revive a lasting healthy, emotional, and sexual connection.

Join other couples in an ongoing group designed to help you find your way back to each other, only this time in a responsible, authentic, and engaged way.

Using a combination of attachment, contextual, and dual control theories, Dr. Estrella leads an experiential group for couples that are wanting to invest in their partnership, no matter what stage in the game.

If you are newlywed and struggling to create a common vision, great. If you’ve just had your first child and can’t seem to find time for each other, great. If you just sent your last kid off to college and aren’t sure how to connect, let alone play with each other, great.

The program is designed to be completed within 12 sessions. 90 days to transform your marriage!

As an open group, you will walk with each other through a process designed to work at your own pace.

Together, you will uncover the not-so-great dance or cycle that keeps knocking you two apart. You will start to see your impact on your partner, as well as learn what it is that they are really needing from you. You will be encouraged to explore your own unmet needs and learn how to have a needs conversation that actually ends in win-win.

You will be given resources to enhance not only your emotional resources, but also your sexual connection. Sex is a vibrant source of creative connection and worth for men and women. Learn how you have been approaching sex, dismantle whatever beliefs haven’t been serving, and then construct a joint vision for a sex life that fulfills both of your needs.

Make 2021 the year you both step up and out onto the skinny branches for one another. Decide to take a stand for your partnership and then come clarify what that is together with the support of Dr. Estrella, a gifted group facilitator crazy about couples growing closer.

Meet Your Coach

You will be given support to walk you through this trusted process by a coach who spent just over a decade striking out in love before she did similar work.

I’m Julie – Love enthusiast and committed partner with you in this journey!

In my late 20s, I attended a leadership workshop that I thought was supposed to help me be a better leader in my work and instead found myself bawling my eyes out the first night when the exercise called for sharing our vision for our future.

My Story: I’m Too Much

All I could think about was how much I wanted to be married. But also how jaded I was about marriage and my ability to find a man who could handle my “strong personality,” as one male friend teased me.

The work didn’t matter, not really; I was on track for managing my own department. Instead, what became so clear was how scared I was to trust men and how marriage seemed like a trap for women who dared to dream – all compliments of my early love lessons.

I Chose to Trust and My Blindfolds Fell Away

In that workshop, I woke up to the profound impact these old stories were having in my life and how amazing it can be when I step out on the skinny branches and risk.

I met men who knocked the old stories off the table and helped me start to make space for trustworthy, powerful, confident men to start showing up.

Be a Heat-Seeking Missile for Anything That Scares You

From there I decided to pursue any sort of work that would support me in creating an empowered view of men and myself in partnership with them – in my family, at work, and romantically. I discovered communities like Alison Armstrong’s PAX workshops, dedicated to approaching relationships from a responsible conversation or mindset, as we like to say these days.

For me, a responsible mindset means that I am aware I am creating my entire reality in how I choose to respond to life in any given moment.

In waking up to the stories that I am operating by, being willing to embrace and deconstruct them, I then created the space to create a new story – one that empowered and evoked me to take action.

Becoming Ms. Right

I jumped wholeheartedly into becoming the woman I thought could only exist once she found her true love. I focused on treating everyone in the way I wanted to be in relationship – loving, trusting, open, and authentic.

I went to a LOT of workshops, dated a ton, and explored online dating, too.

Sergio Estrella, Dr. Estrella’s husband

Who Is This Guy???

All in all, it took me about three years before I met my incredible husband. We met at one of those original leadership workshops – and I swear, it was like a tractor beam caught me… I had never experienced anything like it.

The goodness of fit was clear to me within two dates, and we set out to create a life we both feel fulfilled by. I went back to school to become a Licensed marriage and family therapist with a Ph.D. and focus on working with couples and intimacy.

Relationship & Love Coaching

Over nine years later, we are not only deeper in love than ever before, we are also embarking on giving the type of relationship coaching we wish we had access to years ago together!

Whether you want to attract a soul mate or deepen the intimate connection between you, we now offer relationship coaching through Schaepper Psychiatry.

Calling in “The One” Group

I am not a fan of reinventing the wheel; and when a friend recommended the Calling in “The One” book by Katherine Woodward Thomas, I was ecstatic! I wish I would have had my hands on this a decade ago when I went through my own heart-wrenching transformation. Her process is powerful and effective.

As humans we tend to do better in community when creating change, for support and accountability. You can count on me to set a context for your group experience that is warm, inviting, and provides the safety needed to explore wherever you need to go through your process.

I will be available via email and on the FB group outside of the group time, and you are always welcome to set up an individual coaching appointment if needed.

What If I’m Not Sure I’m Ready for a Relationship?

Sometimes people have let me know that they aren’t feeling ready to attract a relationship. You may be struggling with anxiety about your future or have just exited a messy divorce – and yet something in this post resonated with you.

Somehow you intuitively sense that there are crossed wires inside, and you’d really love support clearing house, tiling the soil of your heart so to speak, to experience a new way of relating to yourself – with loving kindness.

Whether or not you are “ready” for a relationship, we encourage you to use this time to prepare your heart to be able to attract and then recognize a powerful partner. Through the powerful support of a group, you will have a home base to work through your stuff and to receive feedback about all that makes you gloriously you.

You will be encouraged to make time to carve out time to create a life that inspires you, one where you live and love boldly. If not now, when?
