Non-Invasive Approaches to Mental Health

Helping Your Brain and Body Reset, Naturally

At Schaepper Psychiatric Group, we offer two gentle, non-invasive therapies that support healing from the inside out: MeRT-TMS and Brainspotting.

These aren’t quick fixes or one-size-fits-all solutions. They’re personalized treatments designed to help your brain and body work together again. If you’ve been carrying too much for too long, these approaches can help you feel grounded, steady, and more like yourself.

What Is MeRT TMS?

MeRT stands for Magnetic Resonance Therapy. It's a customized form of brain stimulation that uses safe, gentle magnetic pulses to help your brain find a healthier rhythm.

We start by mapping your brain with a simple scan to see where things might be overactive or underactive. From there, we create a plan that supports your unique brain patterns. Most sessions are quick and painless, and over time, people often report sleeping better, feeling clearer, and reacting to stress with more ease.

People often come to MeRT for support with:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • PTSD or emotional trauma
  • Autism-related challenges
  • Brain fog, trouble sleeping, or feeling stuck

MeRT doesn’t force anything. It gently nudges your brain toward better balance so you can think, feel, and function in a way that feels more natural.

Brainspotting: Release, Reclaim, Resource and Expand

Brainspotting is a body-based therapy that helps release stress, trauma, and emotional pain stored in your nervous system. By using your eye position, we access the specific spots in your brain where old experiences or emotions may still be held, giving your body and mind the space to process and let go.

How It Works

In a session, you don’t need to relive memories or explain everything. You’ll be guided to a point in your visual field connected to what you’re ready to release. Brainspotting allows you to access and release old trauma, while also activating the neuronal networks tied to positive memories, inner strengths, and the people or qualities you turn to for support. This helps you reconnect with the present and your natural resilience.

Expanding Possibilities

Beyond healing, Brainspotting can help you explore your vision and step into new experiences. You can envision yourself confidently walking into a new job, living fully in a dream relationship, or expanding into areas of life you’ve never experienced before. The therapy helps you connect with the parts of yourself that make these visions possible and begin living into them now.

What It Helps With

Brainspotting can support:

  • Emotional overwhelm or numbness
  • Unresolved grief or trauma
  • Anxiety or depression
  • Performance or creative blocks
  • Exploring new life possibilities
  • Any area where talk therapy alone hasn’t been enough

What to Expect

Sessions are quiet, focused, and deeply intuitive. You remain in control while your body and mind do the work of processing, releasing, and reconnecting. Many people leave feeling lighter, more grounded, and more connected to their inner strength, clarity, and confidence to step fully into the life they want.

Why They Work So Well Together

MeRT helps reset the brain. Brainspotting helps release what the body has been holding onto.

One supports clarity and calm. The other supports emotional release and regulation. Together, they create a whole-person approach to healing that feels natural and sustainable.

Ready to Feel More Like Yourself?

You don’t need to power through or figure it all out alone. These therapies are here to help you reconnect with yourself, sleep better, feel more present, and move forward without all the weight.
